Classroom tools
Even though most of my work as an instructional designer was on the eLearning side, I also participated in the development of instructor-led training. One of my first tasks at JetBlue University was to develop the template for the instructor notes to be used in classroom.
Instructor notes
A well-designed instructor guide prepares the instructor to teach the class and provides support during class, being that in a presential or virtual classroom. Speaker notes, activity descriptions, and reference materials must be clearly pointed out in the guide.
timer
This animation was developed in PowerPoint to be used during classroom activities. It is a countdown to help students and instructors keep track of the time allotted for a given activity.
The instructor has the option of setting up the timer to the desired length and also to display it as concentric circles or a bar.
The animation has background audio and an alarm that indicates when time is up.
I resisted the temptation to use the Jeopardy theme song, in case you are wondering.
